So I mentioned on my Facebook page that I made this delicious apple and date porridge on Saturday morning. I was feeling a little run down and it was pretty cold. I wanted something warming and yummy. Now you may not think porridge and yummy should go in the same sentence but I am about to show you a porridge that will rock your world!
What you need:
1 cup of organic whole oats
1 1/2 cups of water
1/2 cup of whole milk
5 dates chopped
1 apple chopped (really tiny pieces)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp of vanilla essence
What you need to do:
Super simple. Chuck it all into a pot. Bring to the boil and then simmer for about 10-15minutes until the oats are cooked. Done.
This is so delicious I even make it for dessert some nights. Mr 2 also lurrves it. I have to say that the dates really make it. So don’t skimp on them juicy things!
