I have had a couple of attempts at growing my own veg and herb garden. At my previous house I had quite a successful little crop of lettuce, basil, parsley and some potatoes. I spent ages reading different books, talking to people and on my good friend google trying to work out how to start and keep it growing. Although it started off well it was short lived as I wasn’t sure how to keep it going!

For me just being able to go into the garden and collect everything I need for a fresh salad or some herbs to add to a dish is what I love about my garden. My son absolutely loves gardening with me and being able to eat it straight away. We also had our herb garden at Kindy which was great to teach children how things grow and how to take care of plants. Some of my must haves include:
