As some of you know I am a mum to 2 beautiful children with my youngest little treasure being only 4 weeks old. As other mums would know and busy women in general you need as much energy as possible! When I was about 7 months pregnant I read about this super human mother who swore by green smoothies. I was quite sceptical as to how it would taste, I mean… it is GREEN for goodness sake. Anyway, I went to the shop and bought my veggies and some spirulina powder to add and I blended away. Day 1 was a learning day as I realised I needed this stuff as cold as possible to make it taste amazing. Day 2 I was prepared and froze my orange and banana to add and OMG it was amazing! It was the most refreshing drink I have EVER had. Fast forward 3 months and people are commenting on how I have sprung back to my pre-pregnancy shape, my skin is clearer and I have more energy than when I was 20! (mind you I am only 27 J)
Last week I saw a website called Simple Green Smoothies and these ladies are starting a 30 day smoothie challenge which I thought was quite awesome. My favourite smoothie includes:
– Frozen banana
– Frozen orange
– Spirulina powder
– Probiotic powder
– Liquid minerals
– Coconut oil
I just blend it all up and DELICIOUS! I even pour it into a wine glass so I feel all fancy It makes 2 huge cups full so this is my super EASY super REFRESHING and super FILLING breakfast as I’m usually trying to jump in the shower, feed the tribe and get dressed between breastfeeding my newborn.
What an easy way to LOSE WEIGHT, feel fantastic and look great!
