Ok so I have a couple of people asking me for this Choc Caramel Tart recipe. It is so delicious and I have created this one myself through inspiration from other tart recipes.
1 1/2 cups of almonds
1 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp butter (or just 2 tbsp of coconut oil to make it a raw vegan)
1/4 cup maple syrup or 1/2 cup date paste
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon Water, if needed
6 Cacao wafers or 1/4 cup of melted raw chocolate
Now what you do is
To make the crust: pulse the almonds in your food processor until they become a rough flour. Add the oil and butter and process until it sticks together, forming a rough dough. Press into a lined tart tin. Put in the fridge and let it set for about 2 hours (this is preferable but not absolutely necessary). To make the filling: Melt cacao wafers (place into a bowl and put over another bowl of boiling water until they melt). Blend all the ingredients until smooth. Spread gently into the bottom of your tart crust and then let it harden in the fridge for 30-60 minutes.
Now this does need to be kept in the fridge as it will melt if left at room temperature for too long.
This really does taste like a twix! So delicious.
Send me photos of yours before you eat it.
